N00b question - Core Planets

I'm new to Traveller, but I really like the system.

I was curious if there was a specific place to get information (specifically the technical details such as trade codes and statistics) of the core worlds, or is it all scattered among different books? Do I need to delve into the classic Traveller books for this info?

Thanks in advance!

The only supplement I know which covers the core worlds in some depth,
including UWPs and trade codes of all worlds of Core Sector, is Milieu 0
for T4. However, like all T4 this is set in the very early years of the Im-
perium, and therefore not immediately useful for a campaign set more
than thousand years later.

The traveller map does include all the trade codes. It's what I use. Also, cross reference with the traveller wiki (find a planet on map, search it on wiki) to get all the fancy details :D

Hey, thanks for that. I can't believe I missed that before.

Now, any place for history or blurbs about the planets or systems?

That would be the traveller wiki that barnst2 mentions. I'd post a link but don't know how. There is an amazing amount of information in the wiki.

You can simply paste the link (URL) text: http://traveller.wikia.com/wiki/Traveller_Wiki

or, use the BBCode (see link to the side when posting for details) for URL: like so.

Not every planet is given a background on the wiki, but double-clicking a hex will bring up the UWP code, so trade codes can be gleaned from that and if no background can be found, a suitable one can be created with the UWP.
