n.a.w. and vree stealth fleet

sorry about the pics, seem a bit hazy, must need to clean my lens,
well this is the new colour scheme for my mixed naw fleet, its the stealth fleet for deep space penetration, ( mmm something tells me i shouldnt have said that ) theres lots more to them but just started painting, theres all the fighters,xonns, vaarls,xills,some brakiri as well.

Well, the color selection is nice, I like the blue especially. But the black, at least in the pictures, just looks like primer. I can't really see any highlights. Maybe instead of black you could do a mix of black ink and boltgun metal highlighted up with a light drybrush of boltgun. Might make them look more like ships, less like primer.

Other than that, though, interesting idea.

I wouldn't go down that time consuming route. I'd just give them a very light boltgun drybrush.

yea its the pics, ill get some better tommorow, they have a satin look to the black with a dark earth base and a slick silver dry brush, makes em look used!

They look cool. I like the way you have reversed the roles of the metalic, and non metalic paints on the vree.

Look very nice. Black on starships never goes out of fashion.
A very light drybrush or some fine edging would be nice, to help pick out the details on the hull (the one problem with black)

I love them. Question thou what paint did you use for the metallic looking blue?

well its an ink that i make up, its a white ink with a blue mettalic pigment,
it has to be painted on a dark background as the white disapears and just leaves the blue, i can make you some up if you want just cost of some bottles and a bit for the ink, n, postage?
