thanks guys. All ways good to get feed back on my painting. I found painting my Vorlons very easy. I first would paint them green and then dry brush a different shade of green and various shades on yellow on. Then I came up with an even easier method - buy a green spray can and then dry brush the different shades of yellow on.
With the Vorlons ships it doesn't matter what sort of mess you create when doing this as they are organic ships and don't need to identical as ships in say an Earth Alliance fleet need to be.
I tried to get them as close to show as was possible using a paint brush, but found I had to amend that idea after finishing a heavy cruiser. The band by the Vorlon Empire symbol is meant to be grey, I checked this out on my dvds, but I found that the grey just seemed to disappear, it didn't stand out at all, so I changed to the blue like the pics in SFOS.
On all of my ships, including the fighters, I made sure that the tips of the tendrils where in the brightest yellow I had. The theory behind this was that a lot of energy is going to go throught them so would be very brightly coloured.

I like the encounter suits, they must've taken ages to paint!

Which reminds me that I´ve always wanted to paint a Vorlon fleet in the colour scheme of the purple encounter suit; I think that could look ace (not that I´m about to try, I have enough fleets to paint as it is - not to mention my miniatures from other games)

I once toyed with the idea of painting half like Ulkesh's transport and the other half in the greens, more or less making two fleets that could be put together if needed. Suppose it wouldn't matter what colour I actually painted them in cause like people not everyone is the same colour
