A couple more entries added:

Still not completely up to date, and another session likely tomorrow. But closer... 8)

I've been keeping up as well. The Straw Dogs have turned up as well, eh? I am jealous as hell and wish that I could play in an EC game instead of always having to run them.
Keep it coming Loz and Akrasia. :)

I'm still behind in the log (sigh), but a few more entries have been added since last I visited here:

Just read the latest update, "The Demon and the sorcerer". Got a feeling Loz may have been a bit disappointed at how quickly both the eponymous foes were dispatched!

Always a danger in RuneQuest, players tend to roll crits at the most annoying moments.

Not really. I hate long combats...!

Finally had a chance to sit down and catch up on the posts. Very well done guy's. Sounds like an awesome campaign, with a lot of unanswered questions. Look forward to seeing how it all pans out! Damn shame the 'heroes' didn't get Zheren... but I'm sure they'll get another opportunity or three!

A bit disappointed at how easily Malagan bit the dust. :( Still, I agree with Phil Hibbs, those inopportune PC crits are a real pain in the derriere sometimes.

Still.....Plot Spoiler Alert

As Loz points out in Cities of the YK, much of Malagan's power and reputation comes from what the locals think he can do, rather than what he actually can do.
Still, I reckon that he could have utilised the Black Guardsmen a little more. In his shoes, I would have.

Perhaps it was simply the narrative as written, yet I also was a bit disappointed at the rather swift demise of the Demon and the Sorcerer both. Though perhaps it felt different in play than it comes off reading it.

The party had some good combat rolls; they also had time to prepare a defence and outnumbered the demon. It took some felling, and when it went down, Malagan was dumbstruck - hence his own demise.

Its the way these things play-out sometimes. They won't always be 10-round long epics with PC limbs flying in all directions!

I know exactly what you mean Loz. I had a similar occurrence yesterday in session 2 of my own Elric game (leading to a thoroughly planned encounter going completely skew whiff).

@ Akrasia and Loz, are there anymore sessions still to be documented? :)

Oh god yes. Lots more. And it gets even more interesting...

Akrasia has been berated so much for being behind on the blog that's he's had to take a holiday this week. He shall be chastised for his tardiness.

Cool. So are you basically running of "Promises Broken" or just using your favourite NPC's?

Its a combination of choice bits of 'Promises' with some fave NPCs thrown in, and elements from other campaigns.

How is the chastising of Akrasia going? Perhaps Loz should threaten not to chastise him instead.

I fear that the Cult of Ecstatic Indulgence may have derailed Akrasia. Must get Duke Hozel and the Argimiliaran Inquisition involved. Now where did I put my pointy hat..........

Akrasia's been travelling, so that explains why there are no new updates.

As far playing's concerned, the past two or three sessions we've planned have had to be cancelled due to work commitments. We hope to resume normal chaos this coming week.
