My Bugs (and MI) (constant pic update)

Whats the original figure ?

also the challeng for me was to do 3 2k armies for the tourny in a month !!!

as for the madness its up to us guys to keep the enthusiasm going with new ideas. gonna be interesting to see how we acheive this when prepaints come out !!

Original Figur is the 2005 Xmas Sophie by Reaper Miniatures:

Well, in fact I don't see any competition here, it's just a lot fun.
I don't think it'll be any problem to keep this up when prepainted will come.

*The Mini is an homage to one of my favorite characters - Kerrigan, the Queen of the Zerg Hives.

New born Baby Rippler:

1. Cut apart the Controll Bugs as shown. Remove the parts carefully because you will need them all (except the mouth claws).
Use a fine file to 'repair' those cut edges making them round again.
Especially the head needs care here.

2. Reassemble the parts as shown below. Use a fine file to make them fit if they don't. Two small plastic parts (I used the rotor blades of a 1:720 Helicopter) will make a nice pair of wings.

3. That's all, just go and paint it.

Lessons learned today: The smaller the model the harder to paint.
Those Baby Warriors are nasty (still at least 5 to do) but that Mini Rippler was really ugly.

Well, regardless of whether you like it or not, I think the base looks cool and I look forward to seeing the finished mini. Keep up the great work!

Yepp, all of these are minimum conversations.

The Searg (the one with the Shock Stick) will get into another squad, cause I decided to do one squad completely on the run.

I thinkt he head of the sarge needs repositioning, he looks like hes gonna fall over. Otherwise, cool conversions.

Rob, there's nothing really wrong with a pose that shows a figure about to fall over, either. He could be ducking for cover, or dodging a bug fireball or acid spit (etc.). It's alright if he repositions it to me, but also alright for me if he doesn't, heh. Soldiers are human afterall, and trip like the rest of us  .

Well i thought he's just launching himself against some bug in close combat, thus looking a bit like tripping without a victim in front of him *fg*

(and as we leraned yesterday, you CAN beat bugs to death with your bare hands, right galatea?)
