MWWG in other settings

I am probably going to regret asking about this, but, does anyone use MWWG for any setting OUTSIDE the one given in the book? And I don't mean slight alterations to the origional setting to change it from a desert to jungle, I mean settings not connected to the one given. If so, mind posting it here for people to see? Just curious.

I've thought about applying the MWWG concept to just about every setting. I've even posted on another forum about an Iron Kingdoms/Ravenloft/Macho Women With Guns/Paranoia combination.

But I am a little bit more serious about a Macho Women With Guns "Spacequest" idea using the Runequest rules base (or Spacequest, if Mongoose Publishing decides to publish that and I think it is good). The idea would be that there is a planet where the women outnumber the men 10 to 1, with cultures similar to those outlined in the MWWG sourcebook. Unfortunately, the way my thoughts have been going, PCs in that setting are very unlikely to ever get near that planet.

Maybe I could put a MWWG-style planet in the path of the Battlestar Galactica if I get that far in a proposed Battlestar Galactica campaign using the D6 Space rules system.

I am most likely to set a MWWG campaign in 21st Century Earth, as described in the sourcebook. I have an idea for a MWWG/Ravenloft crossover, where a group of MWWG heroines somehow finds themselves in Barovia.

Lately I've been getting an idea of doing a more serious game set during the period of "the Dang", when the plague was decimating the male population and humankind had to adapt to the new circumstances. I'm thinking of something somewhere in tone between the Macho Women with Guns book and Y: The Last Man.

It would be a good adventure are for something like Call of Cthulhu, and that is a possibility. Another possibility is using the Mutants and Masterminds D20 rulebook and having the PCs and some NPCs gradual gain powers as the crisis develops.

I have had thoughts of combining this with a variant of the Iron Kingdoms setting, which I call Atomic Kingdoms, since I was planning a campaign set 400 years after the "normal" Iron Kingdoms game, and I was thinking of having a "Moonraker" style villian.

But then I lose a lot of the connections with modern earth, such as connecting it with the Bush administration and the Iraq war and the culture war, unless I go to the trouble to make analogs in the Atomic Kingdoms setting. So I'm probably better off with Mutants and Masterminds in the 21st Century Earth setting.

Also, Iron Kingdoms/Atomic Kingdoms already has magic and fantasy creatures and giant steam-powered robots, making it harder to make things strange for that setting.

Too many ideas! Too many ideas!

My MWWG World is a combination of Toon and MWWG. real Craziness with Toon characters whacking on the Girls and the Girls just Boggling the Cartoon character's and knocking them down. Then one of the player's character remember's a substance that would destroy a cartoon character called 'THE DIP' which one of the girl found a super soaker 5000 and filled it with the dip and started kicking cartoon character's booty. Now the party is wanted for MURDER!! in the Toon World.I also found another old game called IT CAME FROM THE LATE,LATE,LATE,SHOW which I Own and I'm going to put it in also using some of the classes and skills they have in that book.--PIGKING KING OF ALL UNDEAD ZOMBIE PIGGY'S EVERYONE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..

And here am I, seriously pondering the socio-political implications of a world without men.

Some thoughts:

1. If the population is predominately women, then a sexy woman wouldn't get very much attention. It would be the men who are fawned over. Yeah for men!

2. If most of the women are scantily clad, due to the heat from global warming, then a woman in a bikini really wouldn't attract very much attention. Now a woman in tight fighting long-legged jeans and a turtleneck --- hot!

3. There is a theory that women pretty much dress up for each other, wearing clothes designed by gay men. So in a world without men, that wouldn't change, but again, they wouldn't be impressed by lack of attire.

4. In the MWWG I worked out, a major conflict is between the "Wise Old Women" and the "Young Babes", in which the YBs want political power and the WOWs plan is to live long enough to pass power to their grandchildren. Youth and beauty vs age and treachery.

5. I've mentioned in a previous thread the importance of having "peace zones" where there is a minimum of violence. PCs will want to go to the "war zones".
