Must RQ II submissions to S&P be set in ~908?

I've a bee in my bonnet for writing something set early on in the presence of the Middle Sea Empire colonies in Teshnos. On the other hand, that was before the God Learning RuneQuest Sight stuff got really rolling, according to the Jrustela book (obsolete?), so maybe it wouldn't be of interest.

I just finished Tai Pan, so that's what got me thinking. Maybe 900 would be OK. And maybe too exotic, as it is way outside the core environment in which everything else is set.

You can set scenarios in whatever year of the Second Age you like; you don't need to confine yourself to 908 nor its environs. Just make it clear what the date is, and how things may differ to the default campaign year.
