Do you mean: three or more different sides - if so not seen so don't know or do you mean two sides but several players on each - which is good fun.

Presume the former? :)

I have played other games designed for 2 players and they worked - recently ran a game of Aliens Vs Perdator Vs 40K Imperials with 8 players (3 sides) which was cool and worked fine! :D

Actually, I mean both. My group consists of between four and five people and we usually play as a group. But everyone wants to play their own fleets, so we usually play games with multiple sides. I have come up with ideas for games with two teams, in which both sides are composed of ships from multiple fleets, but I am interested in what kind of demand there is for any type of multi-player games.

Tried the Battle Royale scenario, which is designed to be up to 8 players - but we only ended up with 3. Not very compelling. Would like to try it again...

I find it can be good fun and as you say allows everyone to play theri fav / only ships - can make some fun scenarios to - I do love a bit of background to make the game more meaningful......... :D

I've gotten a few 3 and 4 person games. They're a BLAST but take up seeming exponential amount of time to play out. (2-players ~ 1-3 hours size depending, 3-players ~ 4-5 hours, 4-players ~ limited the PL/# to a Raid-3 Battle Royale for sanity and time)

My demos are usually multiple person per side games.

if its like 4 per side, then I designate an "admiral" to roll initiative and declase who is moving which ship. if its like 2-3 per side, the I usually split the fleets up and have them roll initiative separately.

we play a 4 way game at Christmas with beer and nibbles, gererally 5 war points per side with plenty of beer and nibbles. Each player sets up on one of the table edges, obviously near beer and nibbles. That way each player is flanked by two others with a player directly opposite. Turns into an absolute death fest with a total lack of survival instincts, plenty of beer, nibbles form scenery and ends up being navigated around. Generally great fun had by all.

Oh, we have the odd beer or two as well

LBH there has on occasion been known to be a nibble or two present :D

we have played these large 4 way games every Christmas for around 6 years. The last couple of years it has been ACTA that gets played, perfect for a fun filled death fest multiplayer slasherthon with nibbles

I have been working on more multi-player scenarios, as well as a helpful guidline to making the scenarios out of SFoS into multi-player games. Would these be somethings folks are interested in?

I'd like to play them, but they don't work too well. Haven't yet tried the Benny Hill scenario, though heard it does work!

The Benny Hill scenario is fantastic!!!! It's a really funny game system, and it can be a dream come true or your worst nightmare - much like all games

have certainly played multiplayer multifleet gamnes on several occasions, but usually only as 2 sides, so Vorlon and Minbo versus narn and EA. The vorlon/manbari won out, as the EA got slaughtered (I must say my narn did admirably well versus the vorlons)
Multi sided games often degrade into dodgy agreements, with two players ganging up on one.

"Benny Hill"? He asks a bit puzzelled.

Gee, most of my other submissions are multi-player. Hmmm... perhaps I should rethink the next batch.

Someone correct me if I get this a little bit wrong....

Player A only gets VPs for destroying player B
Player B only gets VPs for destroying player C
Player C only gets VPs for destroying player A

If your ship is destroyed by the "wrong" player (ie. player B kills player A's ship) then it is resurrected, I can't remember the resurrection rules though.
