MuGu games Star Fleet Campaing Ends

We have started a campaign using this hex map I created.

The campaign ends labor day. The rules are simple you can only attack a hex that borders a hex you own and you must maintain line of supply.

There are 2 hexes each race is given (in secret) at the start of the campaign that are objectives. One of these Objectives is army specific the other is given to all and it is worth the most points. You can only obtain these points if you hold them at the end of the campaign.

The Kzintis Hegemony is out to an early lead taking 2 hexes while the Romulan Star empire has lost many ships it also won a great victory Vs the Klingon empire destroying 3 ships.

Sounds good. How are you deciding who fights when you enter a new unclaimed hex ? Closest enemy border/random ? Presumably random scenarios as well, just using the ACTA campaign rules as written ?

We wanted to make the system work for players and RL schedules so when you play a campaign game each of you state what hex you are attacking and the guy that wins takes his hex and the guy that looses gets nothing.

We are using the ACTA campaign rules as written just with a few twists.

The war rages on the Romulan Star Empire expanded its borders while the Klingon Empire smashed the advance of the Kzintis Hegemony destroying 2 ship while only loosing one.

When do you guys play?

I generally prefer Romulan but have all three fleets and a second player as well.

It varies, but generally in the evenings 5pm .Weds are usually a good night as many of us also play 40K.
We post on Facebook when available (Northwest Wargamers) or looking for a game.
Or just check the store out, it is a GREAT place to game and the owner (mike) and the staff are all good people.

We put up with the card tappers as they pay the rent for Mike.

You can play any fleet you want.

The cats gave my Romulans a good beating tonight, SeattleDV8 came out and played a round with me and slapped my fleet around a bit. I had forgotten about the Kziniti DN's plethora of Phaser 3's which emasculated my one two punch of Phaser R's, from there it was all downhill.....

Since the Feds are undermanned, we (my son and I) will be happy to take up their cause in the campaign.

You've got a good looking fleet, and its quite a bit scary.
I got lucky with you coming in from reserve in two waves.
One more ship in range I would have been hurting.

How secret are the secret hexes given that everyone seems to be expanding in a line of hexes going somewhere :lol:

@Captain Jonah:The Hexes are given to you by the store Manager I am sure you could trick him to find out what the other ones are but he know who plays what and is pretty savvy and we don't have the type of people that would cheat.

@McKinstry: Right now people are being pretty conservative with there ships once you get xp dice and start refitting them they become prized and you don't want to loose them. This will change however as the time ticks down and people have to risk more to win important battles!

Erm where did tricking and cheating come from :?

If you look at the maps you can see the fleets are charging out in a single line of hexes, I presumed that they are heading for the secret score hexes but since every one can see them going out hex by hex its like a finger pointing the way.

@Captain Jonah You are given 2 hexes that are important but no one knows what one is the Big one so really you should be trying for both I am sure you will see people diverge and people try to attack the LOS of other races as things move on.

The war rages! The Klingon's were beaten back loosing a D-7C the Kzinti Hegemony the Klingon's did manage to destroy a ship. The Romulans suffered a huge lose the Klingon empire loosing to ships while trying to mount a rescue mission.

The wars pace has quickened. The Kzinti smashed a Klingon advance only to be counter attacked and driven from the sector. The Romulan star empire battled the Kzinti in a slug fest that saw both fleets with draw. The Federation have yet to weigh in.
