The Butcher
Mongoose
I'm a huge fan of "mythic historical" settings (I can't wait to check out Pete "BRP Rome" Nash's take on Vikings!), and I think Arabic and Near Eastern myth and history remain a relatively untapped niche in fantasy RPGs.
AD&D 2e had the Al-Qadim campaign setting, of which we played an epic campaign a few years ago. Our GM was a studious type and did a lot of research on Arabic myth, resulting in a strong "1001 Nights" fairy tale feel which made for a great game.
I'd love to see Mongoose's talented writers and artists tackle the legends and traditions of the Middle East (Islamic and otherwise) under the MRQII system. Maybe it's not as immediately obvious as vikings and samurai, but I'd buy (and play!) the hell out of it.
Who's with me?
