olive drab spray is made by tamia, they do olive drab and olive drab 2 sparay i went for olive drab 2, i originaly got it to touch up the camo on my rifle.

next stage is to dry brush modle with bleached bone and base them and paint skin.

this is them dry brused as you an see by simple logical stages they build up in colours

i just need to go out and by some flesh colour and some gold (exo suits) to finish them of.

thanks, i'll start looking for tamiya colors then:)
(waht i really should do is set up the airbrush so i can use that, but it's easier to buy stuff)

ive owned a few air brushes, and to be honest i find them more trouble than there worth, never realy got the hang of them :(

I'm really supposed to use mine for custompaint on cars, but that's not really happening, so i thought i'd make it a litttle easier to paint uniforms instead:)

Wow. Not only do they look great, they seem to be astonishingly simple in exicution. Is the ink wash followed by the bleached bone drybrush how you do most of your weathering on your figs?

cheers guys, yes ink then bleached dry brush is my standard way to weather stuff, is sorta my trade mark i guese.

simple fast effective and functional,

just workin on skin at mo and trying to decide how to do bases.

hehe

all i need to do now is base them, i can go for normal grass type, desert, or urban.... cant decide hmmmmmm

Why don't you do urban, with cracked concrete and vegetation poking up, and then throw in a bit of sand, heh. That would cover them all.

Can I do this for my LAMI? But not those colours?
'Stealing' your style.

Ditto on that. I think that I am going to throw a quick drybrush on my PAMI platoon now. Thanks again for the inspiration, Mr. Evil!

Go go urban basing.

Seriously, that'll make them more Stalingrad (just make house rules for kamikaze troopers running at Tankers and sticking time bombs on them  )

Damn. We'll just have to be stylish.
You wear your cap, Ill wear my Czapka.
Second thoughts, your on your own.

hehe cheers guys

bit woozy this morning waiting for postman to arrive with my chas modles :)

i shall probably do my normal basing on them but im tempted to do desert basing on them, maybe il do a test figure first to see if the colours ballance ok.

next bunch of pics will be of the finished versions, i hope my step by step guid and system will help some people out in tackling how to paint big forces quickly and effectivly.

remeber keep it simple.

oh and im not gonna paint the eyes on these figs, as i see it point less and not an efectibe use of time on a large force like this.

if any body l;ikes i can do a step by step guid to my skinnies as well.
