More painted exosuits

Mongoose
Since dancingdryad conviniently managed to deliver newest order on friday(royal mail should be renamed to flying mail or more appropriately teleporting mail!) I had "pleasant" friday assembling these(damn I missed greenstuff) and pleasant saturday painting 7 more of these buggers. Damn I like the models. Just wish they were tad easier to assemble! Atleast I realised to glue arms to torso before gluing torso to legs. Too bad I didn't realise to glue weapons to arms first...

Anyway they can be found here:

NCO and squads 1&2 are newest additions. Cougar squads needs 2 more cougars and grizzly squad 2 more grizzlies so full platoon is still 8 exosuits short but that has to wait. Next project will be 2 near-full LAMI platoons! Now THAT'S going to be some painting...

As for bases I think I'll wait past christmast for them. I'll be going to Finland for christmast holiday so I think I'll just grab my basing stuff there rather than try to figure out source for woodland scenic stuff in England that doesn't require credit card.

Oh and if you look closely you see lietnaunt and NCO rank sigils are actually incorrect. This comes from initially misreading the sigil table and now I'm DREADING the idea of trying to paint the correct NCO sigil...No thank you. These are non-standard markings and that's my excuse :D

im considering building a fullt exo platoon as i did fing then nice modles to paint.

I'm going to have full platoon of everybody(2 of LAMI. Want to field 2k+ minimum without nukes fielding pure something) + lots of spares for variety :D

CAP platoon is done, marauder needs 4 marauders(2 apes, 2 chickenhawks), this exosuit needs 6 cougars and 2 grizzlies and once LAMI arrives(ordered 5 boxes and 6 invidual special weapons...) need one more box+2 special weapons. Phew. After that I just need pathfinder platoon :D Plus options.

But I think after LAMI I'll start to collect for big arachnid order which I'll order when I leave the country. Bugs are bit "big" models so don't want to assemble and paint them. Might just as well have them delivered to Finland(20% discount means even postage won't make it more expensive than in Finland :D). And I need "some" bugs to balance all these MI goodies I have bought. 2k marauders, 2k exo's and 2k LAMI(without nukes in any nor any emplacements...) to add to my 2k caps. Can't wait next mega battle in ropecon for SST

Ok great Paintjob, just one question. WHY THE HELL IS THE LT. IN THE GRIZZLY!!!. Sorry but he has much better survivabilty in a Cougar than a Grizzly.

2 weapons for one. He's there to stand back and NOT get in danger so 2 weapons suit his role nicely. NCO is more gung-ho and needs extra protection from kill results.

If opponent gets to lay their hands on lt(barring plasma bug shots and if he's shooting plasma bug at lietnaunt atleast he's not shooting them against any of my squads!) either I'm doing something very wrong or I have huge problems in my hands regardless of wether lt is in cougar or grizzly. That means my front line(aka squads) have been already run over!

Edit: And if it eases your mind cougar LT is coming later as well. As well as grizzly NCO. With weapon variants. I have drawn up organisation for MI battallion and plan to be able to field any single platoon if need be and there's 3 exo-suit platoons and one cap platoon has exosuit officers so plenty of choises.
