I don't know why, but everytime I read "bump the monkey", I hear it mixed with the Pater Gabriel song "Shock the monkey".

I just received my 4 volumes of "Journey to the West", from Chicago University Press.
At a 100 (CAN)$ for the lot, I hope they're as good as Toothill and ilk say. :? :twisted:

Wait a minute, I thought the TV serie was basically an adapted version of "Journey to the West". Since I can't put my hands on the serie in the foreseable future, will I be missing a lot of background info if I only read JttW ? :?:

some names are changed but the tv series was spot on to the book otherwise but also incomplete as like the first star trek the tv series was taken off unfinished. the books finish the story also monkey faces alot more foes than the tv series in the books.easyest way to put it is the series is like one gospel in the bible the version you have is the complete books of both new and old plus the apocothya good reading ahead old boy

Tradition, habit, obession, crazed desire for attention. These are all words that make sense, but then why worry. Sure go bump the Dune until death, but I betcha don't keep it up for over a year, and provide information, some humour or details to the various other members. And isn't that just derivative....

Though I'd be up for the challange.... see if you can catch up and overtake... Monkey vs Dune, could be the New Bear Vs Shark....

Think of it as the internet equivilent of keepy uppy.
