Strength, middle to high, massive Dexterity, high intelligence but low wisdom, decent charisma and good constitution? Probably a monk/cleric turned fighter, given his training with the Enlightened one whos name he cannot mention!

How would you model his 'pain device' (can't for the life of me remember what it was called) he was given by Tripitaka? Some form of geas spell applied to a magical item? And what about the staff?

The pain device probably causes a 'stun' effect, for each round it is active, rather than any damage (tripitaka is forbidden to harm another). The staff is probably best viewed as being +5, with the striking capability, and capabale of being increased or decreased to any size.

the problem is that the US market never received Monkey, so most Americans don't know what it is. a big chunk of your market.

Unlucky for them. One of the few countries in the world not to. They don't particually read 2000AD (around 10% of its sales are US) but theres a Judge Dredd Game. All ways America, shesh.... :wink:

However America does have an exceptional following for Martial Arts movies and the like. The idea is not that the game is the TV series, rather a proper Wuxia kind of affair (the style of movie ripped off as new by the matrix).

Besides thats irrelievent, I don't believe for a minute theres ever going to be some monkey business from Mongoose

well i do think americans would love the monkey show, in fact when i show it to friends now everyone gets a kick out of it. but figuring out the american market is almost impossible. 300 million people can be wrong.
