This might sound like a troll question, but it isn't intended to be so! Is the literary Monkey as barking and maaad as the TV series?
 
No. But its not serious either, its a satire... and a very amusing one. Well worth a read and its full of the weird magics of the TV series.

The TV series may be less mad than thought, because the translation bears no resemblence to the script (as the translator knew no japanese). That said he did an irrepresable job!
 
I'm never really sure when I watch it if it's a beer and munchies post 11pm program, never to be taken seriously, or if it's taken seriously in some quarters. Personally I can't watch it without almost losing my eyeballs. It's maaad.
 
Me too. I like a couple of beers and an episode of monkey... you can't take anything with such sidies seriously.... :lol: I love it, its trashy weird and often makes no sense... Lovely


Which is just what Roleplayers need... :wink:
 
I also like it because I empathise with Pigsy.

I also absolutely love Water Margin, so it's nice to see that mentioned again.
 
Hi Toothy. I've been around a lot longer than Jan 04 believe it or not, but I never bothered rejoining when the 'goose moved boards until I needed to post. Been a 'goosey tester for a while as well now :)

Aaah, wenches, wives and wine. You can't beat that combination. Although you might find that the wife beats YOU for it.
