Mongoose Ursa?

Mongoose
I mentioned this in a previous thread that one of my players currently in my fantasy GURPS games will most likely want to play an Ursa when I restart my traveller game in March. Does Mongoose have an Ursa race already somewhere? I remember having an old book (GURPS traveller I think) with several minor races in it, and one was Ursa. The only time I played in a game with someone running an Ursa was T20, and that was such a bad game it only lasted 2 sessions. Does anyone have a clue where to start?
Str +4
End +2
Dex -2
Int -2
Edu -1
Social -1
Does this seem right for an Ursa? To much, not enough?
I just remember there supposed to be big hulking brutes. The guy in my game loves to play big hulking brutes. I mentioned that Ursa would fill that role nicely in a Traveller setting and he seem really interested in it.
Please, thoughts, ideas, examples, history? I know they are uplifted bears, similar to Vargr, but only limited to 1 or 2 "home worlds" I think.... that's about it as far as my real working knowledge of them goes.

The Ursa are from T20.

For Mongoose I would use Large (3d6 STR and END, 1d6 DEX), Weak (Soc), Weak (Int), Natural Weapon (Slap), Armored (1), and Uplifted.

I Have T20. I think ursa were only in T20 and neither before nor since. The T20 writeup is:
+4 Strength, +2 Constitution, -2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence, -4 Social Standing.
• All Ursa begin as 2nd level characters with 1000XP (1 Alien Level + their first class level)
• Constitution ability score x 2 = Starting Stamina points.
• 10 + Constitution score = Lifeblood points.
• Ursa base speed is 12 meters.
• Large-size. Ursa receive a -1 attack and AC penalty due to their size.
• +1 natural AC bonus
• Ursa have two natural methods of attack, the slap and the hug. Unless an Ursa has multiple attacks due to their level, they may only make one slap attack per round as a standard action. Ursa have a +1 BAB when making a slap attack and will inflict 1d8+2 damage if they hit. The hug requires a successful grapple attack, and will inflict 2d6+Str modifier in damage per round it is held.
• Low Light Vision: Ursa can see twice as far as humans in starlight, moonlight, or other low light conditions.
• +2 to all Listen and Spot checks
• +4 to Move Silent Checks
• Automatic Languages: Galanglic.
Homeworld: Khush C998509-5

In addition to GypsyComet's Alien Traits, I may suggest
• Up Weak Soc to -2
• Humans have a movement rate of 9 meters in T20. Up Ursa movement by 25% (8 meters in MgT).
• +1DM to Stealth rolls involving silent movement (NO, not an entire Stealth 0 skill).
• Perhaps add a special 1D6 or 2D6 Grapple Attack requiring the grapple attack option. AND/OR decide what Animal attack DMs they use (Supplement 11 suggests that Body Slams are Hooves and Constrictions are Thrashers)
I would not add a +DM to perception rolls. For my conversion systems the bonus is too low for MgT. I included it as it was part of the writeup.

Ursa are considered young adults at 10 standard years and full adults at 12 as opposed to human 14 and 18. D20 service terms lasted the same amount of time as MgT. From a D20 view, humans start aging at 35 (in range of 4th term or age 34) can make it to 100 (barring anagathics). Ursa begin D20 aging at 25 and can make it to 72. So, I would suggest start aging rolls at the end of third term (24) and add a -1DM to the aging roll to reflect the shorter lifespan.

There are 14 "Imperial Ursa worlds" with a substantial Ursa population in the Gateway domain book, and one of those is a TL9 HiPop in Ley sector. UREWR 0123 C887A859 Hi 505 IU G2 V

The Ursa in the Kursis Charter adventure (their main showing in T20) were OK, a bit different but not terribly alien. But whilst they're not weird enough to make a good read, that does mean they're human enough that real gamers can actually play them and have fun. [There's a reason more PCs are Vargr than all the other aliens put together.] So I'd certainly go for an Ursa with points in brawl and whaterver MGT uses for Intimidate, if that suits the player's style.

I ran a campaign in Glimmerdrift that had a NPC Ursa engineer aboard the ship. It was such fun whenever he went shopping in his dinky one-bear hovercraft.
