Many of you have asked for a POD option for the final rulebook so you can redeem your beta playtest voucher for a printed copy - and we are happy to oblige!

Next year, when the rulebook is finalised, we will indeed have a POD option via Drivethru, both hard and softback. This will be a short while behind the PDF release (as there is a time lag involved in getting POD set up), but it will appear as fast as we can do it.

Does this mean all future Traveller second edition PDFs will also be available as PODs?

In the past I have bought a few PODs from Drivethru and they have been printed by Lightning Source UK Ltd. Well that's what the stamp at the back of the POD says. Very happy with the PODs. Just thought I would mention it in case you have a choice. They offer 'Standard' and 'Premium' paper options with standard being cheaper, but thinner and with less vibrant colours. Also the standard one tends to curl a bit, especially when a full page image is printed on it. The premium option uses thicker paper and stays flat. Comes down to personal preference and cost in the end. I tend to go with the standard option as I find the quality good enough since I tend to use my PDFs for gaming and the PODs for flipping through while lazing on the couch.

We have not made that decision yet - but certainly, all new books will have printed versions.

I like that Idea. I just process information better when It's in book form...child of the dead tree only era.
