Mobile Infantry Add-ons Updated: 01/11/2008

You mean the standard issue shower uniform right? You now, the neked kind?

I agree with hiro though. On the scale of a chaplain, at the one extreme side of the concept of starship troopers you have somehting akin to the one model killing machine unit, not unlike chaplains or any other character expensive in points in 40K.

Then you got hiros that I like somewhere in between.

And at the other end you have an army where every model and rule is the exact same, with only one unit with no options.

And the trait idea, frankly, sucks assss. Then you have just an officer, not a trooper. And if it is good enough to be a prestiege class in the rpg then it is more than good enough to be something sovreign and independant in the miniature game. I am also aware of starting three sentences with the word 'and'.

As for the other opinions about this matter, I am more than willing to listen and accept them, but dont force it down our throats if we do not agree with it, and damn it respect the guy who shared his vision of a new unit who started the thread. No offence, but I hope to Jesus/Spaghetti monster that the company does not listen to your side of it.

I've gone ahead and updated the first post in the thread with what I've gotten done so far, snuck in something from the early days of the SST Miniature game (tweaked it too), and generally have the whole thing in a 10mb PDF for anyone to enjoy.

Edit: And guys, can we keep the debating civil? I mean, while I might not agree with Proteus' idea, and will debate about it, I'm not going to use any word relating to the posterior in relation to it.

I like the stuff you do with the cards and different units and even if i won't use the iguana for example, i know someone else will,,
so thanks :D

I want to call it a Puma  (this only 'works' for viewers of red-vs-blue)...

You makin up animals?

I'm liking the look of these, Hiro. Only thing I would change (at first look) would be all the weapons options for the engineer squad. They're supposed to be a specialist unit, so I'd say keep the mines, charges, etc, and probably allow shock sticks and WASP packs, but drop things like the Triple Thud and other weapons available to standard troopers. After all, these guys gotta lug the other stuffaround, and need to focus on their specialty work rather than being a heavy weapons unit at the same time.

Yeah, but I was thinking of the Demo team in the bug valley on Pluto. Remember the gear they were packing?

Also, look forward to a new Morita soon:

I had forgotten about that, good call Hiro. This is my favorite of the work you've done so far, creative stuff. Maybe markers or miniatures could be made for the demo charges? That way they could be placed beside the trooper packing it, or left on the field once placed. I like the idea of sending engineers out to lay charges much better than the minefield rules we saw in S&P.

I like the look of the gun but that prop looks very toyish. Dont get me wrong it is a cool design, but it looks like an actualy toy.

I would disagree there, as the Engineering dudes pretty much would be responsible for maintaining all a Platoons Gear - they should be able to have whatever they wanted equipment wise!

Just having some fun till Scipio ruins it with playtest stuff:

To Do:
- CHAS AI upgrades
- CHAS Chassis upgrades
- FireFox Armored VSTOL Gunship
- New Heroic Traits (Bug Wrangler, etc.)

You konw I would by that gun if it was a microwave that actually worked, and yes it would be worth the radiation poisoning.

Good Job, Hiro!

We have already done a couple of variants for the CHAS chassis, and they are already in the MI Army list in the WOTS rules.

CHAS fans rejoice!

Regards.
