How about a description then?

Well, you could probably grab a pic from a Gundam source to use, heh. I just watched Appleseed (again) and those Landmates are basically Heinlein suits. I'm thinking next about looking for the Anime version of SST for my collection. :)

Yep, that's the one I mentioned. It would just about complete the total range of media regarding SST. :D

It's gonna have to cost a lot more than that. Six at a thousand points makes them cost about 165 each. That's 30 points less than a standard M8 cap trooper while gaining 2" in movement and +1 to the target roll, a dogde save, MUCH heavier weaponry, hover capability, and the Independent trait!

Your stats are FAR superior to even a Bigfoot marauder, which costs 295.

Some things that I see as needing big point increases are:
Hover 18" - My note: The M9 jumps only 2/3 as well as a CAP trooper, maybe reduce the hover to 12"? Still would need a big point jump to get Hover over Jump. Note that a CAP trooper gets a 40% point increase to gain its hover and dodge.

5+ Dodge save - My note, maybe only a 6+ dodge as it is a bigger target than a CAP trooper. Still need a points increase, mostly because a dodge save over 4 hits multiplies the defensive capabilities of the unit.

Increase in target over an Ape.
I would guestimate a 20-25% increase in defensive capability. The target being 8 takes out a lot of D6+1 weapons. Keep the target at 7 if not a reduction in armor to allow it to hover,

It seems there is an increase in mobility(both air and ground), an increase in armor, and an increase in firepower.

I like the idea of experimenting on Apes, but maybe have 3 different versions each increasing just mobility, armor, or firepower.

To Do:
- MI Drones (support drones, recon drones, etc)
- Talents/Training/etc
- Possible incorporation of equipment from Starship Troopers Anime

I'm afraid to me the SST anime stuff just looks like a retread of the robotech stuff of yesteryear. While battlesuit style chaps may be closer to the original source material, they are a bit tall and a bit too exactly like a dozen other anime style battlesuits to be worth bothering with.
