Given Mongoose's rather large miniature background, is there any chance of getting, say, 15mm or 25mm official Traveller minis, if the Traveller game does well?

(Love some Vargr, or Kkree, or Imperial Marines.....)

Buying the old Martian Metals stuff is generally cost-prohibitive, if you can find it, and generally could be of better quality. (Fine for the times they were made, but minis are much nicer now.)

Very diplomatically put, yes indeed.

well, MGP do have some nice lines of prepaint uniformed and alien dudes. Ships crew/techno and civvys, though, have always been scarce....so yeah, that'd be cool, but AFAIK Ad Astra has the lead licence for traveller.

Me, I've found a good source of generic armed characters,armed ruffians and suchlike (armed) figs in a certain collectable miniatures game which has "star" in its name but not "Trek".

And, lots of them are commons and cheap. They do some nice SF mapboards for skirmishes, too.
