Miniature Wish List.

OK, my vote is for 15mm. Most of my Traveller deck plans are on 1/2" squares, the ones from FASA.

Heh... See everybody.... Though I tend to prefer 15mm squares, I won't say anything bad about 1/2 in squares.

I'd like to see a focus on non-humans and civilians. I have a lot of human soldiers, at least Imperial and suitable Solomani. Some Zhodani might be nice, but not needed for most roleplaying. The idea of at least one targeting each subcareer is good, but having just "Adventurers" would be a good set.

Yes, this is it. the more the better.

Although, some models of small ships on the ground would be nice. Maybe small craft, the scout ship, free trader and far trader.

I'll try to post some pictures once the ship's boat I'm working on is done.

The real question is how much would you pay for a ground scale ship's boat?

15s... ok, I'd buy them. If someone did a comprehensive line of figures, I'd buy them no matter what the scale.

That's the true issue, and the one I switched to 15 mm for, between Martian Metals and Citadel they produced most of what I was looking for. Except Hivers.

I don't remember if I mentioned it in the now lost 15mm topic, but years ago in my "Great Traveller Sell-Off"* I got rid of practically every 15 I had. And a bunch of other cool stuff too. If I hadn't done that, I'd probably be more solidly entrenched in the 15 camp.

* Talk about bonehead mistakes. At least I didn't get rid of everything.

Heh.... Traveller was one of the few things I didn't and won't get rid of, All my old Ad&d stuff, the other multitude of games... Gone years ago..

When I switched to 15mm it was as much reducing the mass of my belongings as anything. Basically if it wasn't a traveller or SF figure in 15mm it went out the door. I have kicked myself a couple of times, but mostly it's been good.

And is the sun thing the Traveller logo?

LBH
Not really, the sun burst was a symbol for the Imperial Court. Then later it was cleaned up. But the dice were "offical" dice so some folks liked using them. Sort of like the B5 dice that came out a while ago.

Daniel

The Imperial Starburst is the official symbol of the 3I. Has been since CT (Supps 8&11). The fractured version is the official symbol of the Megatraveller ruleset.

The one thing I haven't really mentioned is my background project of 6mm skirmish.

In my idea to reduce the mass of my gaming load I thought that 6mm figures would be an ideal scale to use. As 6mm figures work well using standard quarter inch graph paper or 6mm hex paper. Now if you mount the figures on, say 6mm rare earth magnets, you have the perfect "travel" miniatures set that doesn't require anything more than maybe a sheet of magnetic attractive sheeting.

Well, anyways it's and idea.

It worked for travel games as a kid - just don't stash them in your laptop case (or with your credit cards) ;)
