One a X-boat is a special case
Two a X-boat doesn’t carry cargo and can’t dock by itself or land limiting their use
Three a jump drive and the fuel for it greatly out masses a M-Drive which is the point.
Four X-Boats are specifically made for interstellar travel not in system.
Your comparing Apples to Oranges
I will agree the X-boat is different. However, you did specify doesn't need an m-drive without anything else but no a jump capable ship is not required to have an m-drive.

Now you just Trolling for all practical purposes except in very special circumstances all jump ships need some sort of m-drive. You can split hairs all you want but that doesn’t change things

You are both right. You don't technically need to M-Drive. But unless you have an infrastructure at each world to cope with those stranded starships, you need the M-drive to move around on your own. It might even be a legal requirement.
Jump drives are accurate.
A jump drive costs a lot of money and can only make that money back by being in jump space.
The LASH set up would ultimately result in jump ships that are served by insystem tenders.
