Metal fighter bases

hey enough of that,lol.
my postie just delivered a lot of b5 stuff here and guess what, metal hex bases, well i get rid of them then!
theres a guy on here who wants all my metal bases,(you know who you are :)
 
The last lot of fighters I recieved had the metal hex bases. I thought it odd to change the bases at the 11 hour.
 
I guess if they ran out of the plastic ones, they figured it would be easier just to cast more themselves in metal at their foundry than to farm out production of more plastic ones to a tihrd party...?
 
Yeap, I've got a box of about 50 metal fighter bases here, which I received in my "end of line" buys. I'm sure I have more on the way as I still haven't received my EA Fleet boxes.
 
Tsk I know it's sad but it's really going to annoy me if I end up with some models with plastic bases and some with metal ones... :?
 
I have only the exact number of plastic fighter bases. I don't know what I'll get with the 16 flights of Nials I ordered, talk to me about swaps after that.

Matt explained why they're doing the fighter bases in metal to me today.

Basically it's cheaper to do the number they know they need inmetal than it would be to order the min batch size of plastic ones and have way too many spare to lie around the office.
