Mercenary Ticket Question

Is it just me, or is there currently no adjustment for Unit Size in the Compensation portion of the rules? Something regarding unit size has to be missing, as it is not even possible to get to Compensation Package Z under the normal rules.

  • Theoretical Maximum Compensation
    Negotiation, Effect or 6 or more, 2d6+2 adjustments, max 14
    Prime Ticket benefit - 10 additional adjustments
    Employee Details, Totally Honest, +1 adjustment
    Total Adjustments: 14+10+1 = 25

    Service, Dream Ticket, Elimination, Starting Pay Grade G
    Offensive Target, Vehicle, Ship or Group, +2 Pay Grade Increase
    Pre-Ticket Support, Waived, +1 Pay Grade Increase
    Post-Ticket Support, Waived, +1 Pay Grade Increase
    Compensation Package: 2 adjustments per +1 Pay Grade Increase, 24 / 2 = +12 Pay Grade Increase

    Compensation: G + 2 +1 +1 +12 = W

Under the current rules, both a Squad and a Battalion receive the same amount of compensation. Is it me or is something missing?

Thought I was the only one this bothered. Yeah, I think the Ticket Generation System as written in MGT Merc is broken. It definitely needs a modifier chart to relate compensation to the size of unit required (and, if I was doing it, modifiers for the type of equipment the Mercs are expected to bring e.g. vehicles and heavy weapons, air cover, high guard, etc). As I noted on an earlier post, being a Merc would not be a profitable business in the MGT universe as it stands, except for very small teams that I would consider more akin to a group of player characters working for a patron.
