Matching the Show - Ideas Wanted!

Why not just give it AAF trait, and "fluff" that trait to be the beam firing rapidly at short range?
No need to make a new rule when there's one already there...

happy with that version too - just not accurate on the beams (and you know how I love the Shadows)

Also making the Shadow fighters worthwhile would also help the Shadows against the fighter swarms.............. :D

Sheridan is currently not worth taking except on White Stars.

How about, if Sheridan is taken on an Omega or Hyperion, that ship gains some nukes (since he always carries a few in his hand luggage)?

Sadly the present system for putting Admirals on the highest PL ship only means a good / fun idea is very very seldom used..............

Make it highest PL OR a ship with command - makes sense and means they are a bit more likely to be used.......

AFF would be an acceptable compromise for people who can't do without stronger anti-fighter capabilities from their shadow ships. Apart from that one line from Delenn (which is proven to be false before she says it), we just don't see any on-screen evidence for accurate beams. What we do see is the shadows waving their beams around until they hit their target, which would be consistent with the bucket'o'dice method of hitting fighters and the like.

Reversing was something that at first I was surprised not to see in ACTA to be honest. I was expecting it to be a SA alongside Stop and Pivot, which can only be done after an All Stop.

well the fan heads have an accurate "mean weapon" on the "andvanced" liati ...
why can't the ancient race shadows have it?

true, but thats one (fairly fragile) ship in a whole fleet, you wanted it on basically every ship in the fleet. also WSs can take down Liatis very quick due to their own accurate weapons, same cant be said of shadows.

Can anyone justify why the White Star's pulsars are accurate? When do we ever see them used to destroy fighters on screen?
War Without End, part 1

they used to be accurate and precise, nasty weapons :D
also if they weren't it would take away their main weapon for dealing with Liatis.

same weapon throughout the shadow PL same attribute again they're ancient ships/race
vorlons went for adaptive living armour/ships and great fighters shadows went for accurate weapons and naff fighters...seems a good dichotomy

still not convinced Shadow fighters are naff in the show just in the game...............

if as Burger / ripple suggestion were implemented then Shadow would chop up fighters but (as in the show) have problems against White Stars.

The Scout is very effective against them - seen later and perhaps an adpation to this type of ship?

well i'm happy for AAF as you say saves the white stars..won't Kenny boy be pleased!

I doubt i'll be using ISA for tourneys again... they seem a little too fromage flavoured
But, I suppose all I can really say to TGT is.... 2 POINTS! :P

War Without End, part 1

And that with range too long for computer system to fire(how anybody could hit anything manually then is another thing  )

In War Without End (the one with stealing B4, right?) Ivanova manually targets the Shadow Fighters... with the nuetron laser.

So I say again, can anyone justify why the pulsars are accurate?

Accuracy by volume.

ugh... that line in WWOE is TERRIBLE. When ever is manual targetting going to work better than a computer? I would trust a computer to hit something a couple thousand kilometers out over my own personal abilities.

Ah, but you're not the main character. Main Character Syndrome means that Main Characters aren't about to be bested by a poxy computer system*.

* Note that the computer system has a chance if it's also a Main Character. The IQ of 6000 PE teachers does have some benefits ;)

They use the pulsars, because apparently they have longer range......

That reminds me, something in the show not reflected in the game.... in War Without End, the pulsars of a WS have longer range than the Neutron Laser!
