Hi all!
I use a three dot marking on the rear rim of the base for my 'Regular Army' dudes (EFTF & PLA... the MEA have more flexable options, so I leave these unmarked.). First dot is Platoon, second is Squad/Section, third is Fireteam. I use Red, White & Blue as the colours, because EVERYBODY knows what order they go in..... OK..... Red = 1, White = 2, Blue = 3.
So, 1st Platoon, 2nd section, 1st Fireteam would be Red White Red.
With the PLA not having such clearly marked NCO's for Fireteams, I have put a small Red stripe on the back of their helmets. Works for me!
This simple system also means that (May all Gods forbid it!!!!) when I start going from Company strength to Battalion sized forces, I can easily upgrade!!!!! Although how I will be able to buy the extra paint & figures, AFTER my wife divorces me and I have pay out all that alimoney is another question entirely!!!
