I'm sure that in the unlikely event of the Markab remnants reoccupying hteir homeworld the ISA would make every ffort to replace the jump gate for them.

I imagine with so few Markhab that they would heavily rely upon other races, or there Civilization will regress to barbarism, and there technology will regress just as far.
