Since it been pushed back to Jan. and there is still no product description can someone tell me what is in it other than what can be gathered from the title of the book? Is it more demons? more rules on dream thieves? Different types of magic?

I think that Loz mentioned it would have expanded stuff on the dream realms, rune magic and stuff like that.

The cover artist posted a preview of the cover at his blog the other day. It shows the mirror in Dhoz-Kam going haywire. Looks great :D

The Magic book both expands on the existing magic systems and provides new magic styles. There are chapters on:

1. Sorcery-there are spells to summon the supernatural creatures listed in the bestiary of the Elric rulebook.
2. Demons-A bunch of new demons of each type, fully statted up with Magic Point cost for summoning already calculated.
3. Rune Magic-learning magical signs to produce supernatural effects.
4. Necromancy-dealing with spirits from limbo, and summoning ghouls.
5. Enchantments-powerful items with supernatural effects ingrained in them. Note that the Mirror of Memory is not includes here. I believe it is going to be in the Elric Companion. (Loz, is this still happening?)
6. The Elemental Paths-a new type of Magic for the followers of one of the Four Elements, where you gain power by becoming attuned with the mystical energies that stem from the Elemental Rulers.
7. The Voice of the Dreamthief-a more in-depth look at the 7 Dream Realms.
8. Tomes-Books filled with forgotten knowledge, of such potency that even owning them is dangerous.

I've got more stuff that didn't wind up in this book, which may show up in S&P.

I'm the primary author, and Loz and Pete Nash contributed substantial sections.

Yes, enchantments are in the Companion.

Rune Magic was cut for space reasons from the main rules, and is a key access to magic without the need for demon summoning. It ams to reflect a lot of the smaller (and some more substantial) effects found in the Elric saga.

Charles has done a great job on the rest of the book. The elemental paths are great!

I also adore the cover painting...

Thanks to all. I look forward to the book.
PS-Mr. Green thanks for the great job on the Bright Shadows book it has inspired a EC campaign.

Fantastic artwork! I think that's the best yet for the Elric line! ^_^

Loz, which books are Runes going into? I do recall us having Runes during play-testing, and was wondering what you planned to do with them.

According to the Elric page, it's still up for January, although it is not listed under that month's release schedule yet.

I'm assuming that they simply haven't finished updating the release schedule yet, although I could be wrong.

I saw that it was still up on the Elric page but the upcoming realse/main page got me worried, so I hope you not wrong about the update. I am looking forward to this one!

Thanks for complimenting the artwork, I shall pass this on to Pascal, the artist, he is getting lots of compliments for his Elric work and it is always good to get another.
