Lore of the Multiverse

Hi all...I am looking for book/grimoire titles mentioned in Elric/Hawkmoon/Corum, if anyone can supply a bunch of titles that would be most helpful.

I am currently running a Buffy game set in the Age of Pirates in the Caribbean. The big bad is Pyaray and a few of the other Chaos Lords who are trying to tip the balance so far towards chaos that the Chaos fleet will be unleashed. The Watcher will need some new books to gather the correct lore and find out how to stop what is going on.

This campaign marks the start of my effort to bring a certain symetry to all my campaigns by bassically making them a conscious part of the multiverse...in this case its pretty obvious that the Slayer is the embodiment of the eternal champion on this version of earth while the Watcher may be a servant of balance or law. I can certainly expand this into the Babylon 5 universe where the battle between law and chaos are embodied in the war between the shadows and Vorlons and Captain Sheridan is the eternal champion.

Not everything i run will fit into this mold and I won't try to force those that don't, but it is all in preperation for a long-term RQ Eternal Champions campaign I will run next year (just waiting for my Mongoose Multiverse library to grow to a certain point)

The Chronicle of The Black Sword and the High History of the RuneStaff come to mind. With neither is a list of spells, both contain information that would prove very unsettling in an EC campaign., Giving the PCs a fragment of either could add some tension. Especially if the fragment cuts off an an inconvenient point.

"What?!! A freakin' Dragon?? Do I survive?"

"It doesn't say."

"What do you mean 'it doesn't say'"?"

"That's were the book got singed. I can't read the rest."

"SINGED???!!!"

In one of the previous edition's of Elric/Stormbringer there was an adventure called "The Book of Brilliant Things". It was written by Loz, who is one of the major contributor's to the Elric line from Mongoose. The book was described as not so much a grimoire as a "nightmoire" because it contained the collected nightmares of an insane Melnibonean emperor penned in Highspeech. 8) One of the dreams therein contains information pertaining to the whereabouts of certain black swords. Possesssion of the book could lead to insanity if I remember correctly.
I wonder if it will resurface in this current reimagining of the Young Kingdoms and if so, of how much use or value might it be to Dreamthieves.
Loz, is there anything about this item(which is way to cool to be simply ignored)in the Companion?

The Book of Brilliant Things is actually a book that captures dreams and real events within its pages, rendering form into the written word. In that scenario its used to capture the living stories brought to life by a vengeful god.

But by all means take that name and run with it as you wish in your campaign! Dreamthieves would certainly find it of considerable use.

There are few tomes named as such in the EC saga. 'The Silver Grimoire' is one, so presumably there might be gold, copper, bronze, brass, etc versions with different runes and spells codified. There is also the Dead Gods' Book, which contains the clues to the great conflict between Law and Chaos, so that might suit the needs better.

'Magic of the Young Kingdoms' contains much more on various tomes of magic, and their contents.

Thanks for the info guya...I ended up choosing 3 chapter headings frrom the core book..The Silver Grimoire was one of them along with Lords of the Million Speres and The Seventh Dark.
