Looking for ship names.

Mongoose
Hello,

I am going to be painting some of my Earth Alliance ships and was wondering if anyone had a list of known ship names of the later classes. IE, the Third Age or later ships like the Omegas and the like. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Omegas seemed to be named after generals, with some exceptions. Don't forget, at least 1 ship was named Omega.

I'd say pull out the history books and name your ships after generals or admirals.

When I get a Command Omega, I'm going to name it Alcibiades.

I'm going to name my chronos ships with names that reference or relate to time: Capricorn, Sunset, Twilight, Dawn, Summer ..... you get the idea.

Another good tip for naming ships is the greek and roman gods/heroes, e.g. Apollo, Hercules, Poseidon, Jupiter, etc.

There are plenty of websites where you can get a lot more of these names,

Kind Regards

I just recently watched B5 episode "No surrender, No retreat" where Sheridans White Stars are fighting against Earthforce Omegas at Proxima.

Those Omegas named in that episode were Pollux, Vesta, Heracles, Furies, Juno and Nemesis.

another good source is ship names from the Age of Sail.

I got a really good book listing all the ships in the British Navy of the time.
it cost me £10 from a second hand bookshop.

There is a link in my sig, I have a list of offical ship names and what they were, as well as a list of possible ship names.

Later,
Jon

Thanks to all. I was trying to follow the both the general EA practice and known ships in the B5 series. The help is greatly appreciated. 8)

What about the Titanic, Possieden just kidding.

Agamemnon was Sheridan's old ship - (if you watch the series) which he commanded again in the attack against Earth.

I don't remember the others but from previous posts the names look like the name you see in the series
