Looking for MORE Plastic Fighter Bases

Bubba Ho-Tep

Mongoose
I am in need of a bunch of fighter bases. I prefer the plastic one to the metal ones. If anyone has any they would like to get rid of or are willing to part with please let me know.

I noticed many pictures that had fighters mounted on tiny clear plastic triangles. I really like the approach as it looks better and also doubles the number of flights you get for your money.

Any idea where those stands could be purchased?

I've got a whole bunch of them (I'm using a different basing than the hexagonal fighter bases). I won't be able to count them or ship them for at least a week though, if that's alright. (I'm in CT).

I have both metal and plastic, but I'm not sure which I have more of. Just recently moved, so I'll have to dig through some boxes.

How many do you need?

I'm not sure about the triangle stands, but LITKO do peg toppers that should work with up to 4 fighters each:

Ground Zero Games do an interesting fighter flight stand you might like to consider. It's basically like the small ACTA ship stands, but with a half dozen arms coming off the top of the pole to mount fighters on:

It's the "spider stand" here, you'll find a pic on some of the Full Thrust fleet pictures on this site.

Do you mean these fighter bases?

They are made from a GW flight stand, (From when they didn't cost an arm an a leg :? ) and small triangles I got in bulk from GF9.

Even after getting the triangles and bases, it was cheeper than having to get all the fighters needed to do six per base.

Ok, I got 56 bases from Nightshade, but I need more. Anyone else out there got some they want to get rid of? LMK.

Thanks, Bubba

How many more bases do you need? I have converted my fighters to 1" square Litko Bases and have a ton left over.

I am on the North side of Cincinnat, so maybe we could meet somewhere for a game too.

I have 7 sitting here doing nothing. You can have them for the cost of the postage.

PM me if you want them.

If Bubba doesn't want to fork out for cross Atlantic postage I'll take them off your hands Greg.

Why, LBH? From what I here you don't have any models even put together. :P

No, but I did recently buy some fighters that came with metal bases, and would prefer plastics, but I'm politely not trying to gazump you in the queue for Greg's.

I'm converting over to the brigade bases and I like them, though one thing to keep in mind is that theres a peg on the base itself, rather than a hole like the models are designed for. So I'm having to clip and dremel a new mounting hole on each of my fighters. ugh

And also how many bases do you need Bubba, I've got plenty I'm no longer using, and im on the right side of the pond.

PM sent. Hey LBH, I told Greg to let you have the bases he had.

Alas I think I got in there first (sorry). I'm divvying up all my fighters 3 to a base using the original hex bases so I'm a total whore for any more that are going spare...

Definitely, it is an eye-catching stuff. It seems you have a lot of collection of this triangles and bases. Actually, I also have a few collection of this and this coming February I want to have a set.
