Long lance torpedo attack

Mongoose
On turn two, a Japanese destroyer fired a torpedo at a British destroyer when each was moving on a near parallel course. The British destroyer was over 10" away so the attack was resolved during the end phase of turn three. During the Movement phase of turn three, the British destroyer turned to a near perpendicular course. Two questions present themselves:

1) Do the LL torpedoes receive the bonus for a beam attack? The attack began as a beam attack but was not a beam attack when resolved.
2) If the target ends its move more than 20" away from the Japanese destroyer do the torpedoes hit?

1. No - calculate the bearing when the attack is resolved (the trops reach their target), not when it is first launched.

2. Yes - it will still have the torpedo counter following it!
