Legend still seems to be doing well....

Emperor Mongoose
I just noticed that the Legend Core Rulebook is currently listed as a Platinum best seller on DriveThruRPG - which puts it in the top 0.11% of all products on the website. There are only 23 other products that have have achieved this level of sales in the history of the DriveThruRPG.

Based upon this information, it's likely that Mongoose have sold several hundred copies of the rulebook in PDF format and may have broken the 1000 sales mark by now. This is great news for the future of the game!

Hopefully sales of physical copies are as strong as this....

I've got a dead trees copy and a PDF. The PDF came first.

I'd encourage new gamers wanting to get into Legend to start with the PDF, but to get the hardcopy from their FLGS as soon as possible.

However, I'm glad to see it taking off like this.

Agreed. I just hope that Mongoose gets out some additional books before the momentum fades...

I want the next evolutionary cycle of the tree version...but tenner is too much for me to spend on fanciful pleasures currently, so it will have to wait!

And besides....I've still not read all of the PDF/print-out! LOL :D

Indeed. Arms of Legend is imminent, and there will be a veritable flood starting in February!

I'm glad that Legend is selling well. I have not yet picked up a copy and, unfortunately, will not be doing so in the near future. The reason is that there are other company's that are releasing such really good stuff at present that even though it's only a tenner, it's a tenner out of my, now somewhat, limited funds. I already shelled out big bucks to buy into MRQ1 & MRQ2 and everything seems to be a rehash of what has gone before. I already own the D20 Spider God and so, even it isn't a 'must have' on my radar(although, like the core rules, I will get it, eventually).
The first thing that looks like a straight up buy is Blood Magic in April...........

I appreciate that the Core books need to be reissued under Legend but you need to start getting new settings, campaigns and adventures out sooner rather than later.
What has happened to the promised stuff for Elric? :?:

Matt, will the 2nd printing Monsters of Legend add in the missing traits?

I've got 2nd printing copies on order (by default, my FLGS missed the first run apparently) and would love to hear that that issue was fixed.

@Matthew:

What has happened to Rouen? I know Charlotte is writing it (she made a post on the forum), it's still on pre-order but has been removed from the release schedule as far as I can see. When will it be out?

I have *No* idea what you are all gabbering about.

Kindly explain.

Come to think of it - can someone do a thread with a round up of all these setting / extra books I keep hearing about please? (eg Elric) Cause I'm clueless.

There's a setting called Rouen, which I think is mostly a description of a medieval city in France, which should be pretty complete.
That's all I know about it though.

The Elric setting is based on some novels written by Michael Moorcock.
It's Dark Fantasy, has demon magic (you can summon demons to do your bidding), common magic isn't used.
It has it's version of sorcery as well which is called Rune magic.
The spirit magic is largely the same as the core rules tho.

Here's the link to the material

It's a pretty brutal setting really but good fun if you like that playstyle.
There's not much in the way of healing magic, and no resurrection.

If you're a fan of the Elric series of books (the first book is called "Elric of Melnibone") you'll like this setting.

I don't know the other settings as I don't have the books and never played them, but I'm sure other people can point you in the right direction.
