I'm curious if this offers anything NEW besides looking different? I know that the rules got some tweaks so i'll be picking up the new core book for sure, but if i already have the monster coliseum is it worth the money for the "new" book?

They've probably cut out some of the more Gloranthian monsters, and replaced them with some generic ones instead.

I hope that they've cut-off the "Coliseum-approach" to monsters, but that is only a personal wish and not something I actually believe they have done.

I agree. Monster Coliseum isn't a bad book, but I would rather see the Monster part and the Coliseum part get their own individual books.
