Having them return to discover their former adversaries were either slain or driven off by two creatures one of whom could apparently fly and the other throw what seems like fireballs around driving 2 of the raiders' underground did scare them.
However they haven't yet sussed that if the male noble had to unlock the door before they found the first of the raiders' bodies then that means something locked the door and since the raider was apparently slain by something inside that room then it couldn't have been the raider who locked it...
