Latest S&P is up with stats.....

But on a more serious note, all three ships are playable. The Blue Star will die under a single good barrage but can survive low AD attacks and has a pretty nasty forward gun. It's also an excellent choice for ISA vs ISA battles where it ignores dodge and gets around adaptive armor with it's double damage. :D

The Brakiri ship is just a beast. It feels like a Dilgar ship really. But without the Masters of Destruction trait. It can throw out a horrendous amount of dice with the AP trait although it has to get in to point blank range(literally) to bring it all to bare.

The ugly EA ship is pretty nifty. Throws a reasonable amount of AD, some of it turreted. Hull 5 plus 1 interceptor gives it some survivability. It seems to take the approach of good at many things but master of none.

Yes , the stats for all the ships appear " balanced" are my first thoughts.

Good at somethings, bad at others. Reasonable.

PS just thinking: what a great free mag, lots of stuff !!

The Brakiri Kabrokta looks like a good addition for a Brakiri Assault fleet. A Kabrokta with some Ikorta support, could sent several troops down to a planet in one shot, plus the Kabrokta heavy laser can actually destroy emplacements unlike most of the weapons in the Brakiri fleet.

The Blue Star is probably the only problem ship and that's only due to concerns of using Blue Stars as very cheap jump point bombs. The high ISA Crew Quality with AJP plus the fact that the Blue Star is only Patrol makes the bomb an easy to use tactic with high rewards and no real risk. If you start a game with them on the table they're balanced.

Nods in agreement.

Im just glad the ISA have a viable skirmish and patrol level choice now aside from taking only allied ships to battle.
Agreed. Only having fighters at Patrol and Skirmish sucked.

Now if only the other races will have their problem priorities fixed.

the kabrokta seems a bit good, but that is probably because the avioki is so poor

it is faster, slightly longer range, AP on the beam, 12 AD over two turns rather than 8 AD and has lots more secondaries

seems like a no-brainer choice for the Brakiri

That and the carrier choice for the Brakiri at that level isnt really that great of a choice. The only battle level choice I ever took was the Kaliva, now there is another choice to take.

That´s what I´ve been thinking, although I think the Avioki is supposed to get a little boost in 2nd ed. At least the Avioki/Kaliva can take a little more damage... I will definitely get me one or two of those guys.

The Blue Star is cool - maybe I should postpone my "Shadow Stars" fleet and start a true ISA force, with the Nolo´Tar and the BS it´s certainly worth the time and money.

The LCV is ok; still not sure about the miniature itself, but it does fill a major gap in the Crusade list.

Overall impression: Nice, I like it! Two mouth-tentacles up! 8)

The Kabrotka looks very impressive, and the Blue Star will be a useful addition to the ISA fleet.

The Myrmidon...what's it for? The Hermes is 50% faster, has 30" range Precise weapons, comes with a free flight of fighters and has a Jump Engine. I like the Hermes class a lot...I can't see why I'd take a Myrmidon instead.

The Myrmidon has a higher hull (5) and throws a lot more dice out. So a Hermes is better at range but the Myrmidon will be better up close

The Myrmidon has more all around firepower(complete with a turret weapon that's not a weak antifighter gun) and is tougher. The Hermes is a better choice at higher priority since those long range missles will be easier to bring to bare but at Patrol and Skirmish the Myrmidon should be a viable choice. Maybe at Raid although I'm not 100% sure on that.
