Latest PDF Update: Bookmarks Not Working?

Chuck Lang

Mongoose
I just downloaded the latest PDF update of the 2nd edition Traveller Core Rulebook (2016-04-19 14:18:58) from Drive Thru RPG, and it seems as though the book marks aren't working, or, in fact, they're simply linking back to the front cover of the book.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

Indeed, not working.

The only changes I detected though is that the book is double in size (as Mbs), thus, I assume, higher resolution.

I didn't even know there was an update. Received no notification from DriveThruRPG. Checked my contact options and Mongoose are on the list.

The latest update has no bookmarks, is twice as large in size and it seems to take longer to render in Adobe Reader. Disappointing :(.

I open in in the A. Reader with no problems (except the mentioned bookmarks).
My original post lacked details so here they are. On my i7 running Windows 10 with Adobe Reader DC both the original and the updated PDFs both render quickly in singe page mode. In 2 page mode, they both appear sluggish as the page elements are rendered, but are usable. The latest updated PDF does appear to be slower than the original PDF in 2 page mode.

On my Surface 3 (not pro) tablet I tried both Adobe Reader Touch and Adobe Reader DC. The page render was painfully slow to the point of being unusable. I did not have any issues with other PDFs, but all of these were not as layout heavy as the latest Traveller PDF.

Since then I have installed PDF Reader (from Microsoft) on my Surface 3 and it is rendering the PDFs dramatically quicker.
