last night was suposed to be a practice for the doubles tourney, but earlier i found an old peice of terrian i built in the shed (a village) and then got some bad news on the phone so instead i gave a friend some brits and he worked out the point and i did a list to equal points of MEA
points were 585 i think
1st pic : set up befor game started with both forces deployed
2nd pic : mea manouver into village and woods.
3rd pic: after takin a bit od dame the warriot retreats into the woods to lickits wounds, so far no brit cassualties, note mea used a tactic of using reactions to jump back into cover/buildings where they couldnt be targeted. then pop out again and shoot, felt very authentic.
4th pic: asking where the comand unit where that was giving him the extra action he happly revealed there position hiding in a building lol. damn them sneeky brits.
5th pic: at this point 2 feds had been lost to a warrior, and a RPG's and anything else i could throw at the enemy, had only so far manged to place one point of damage on each Warrior, warriors in cover are harder to shift than i first thought !
6th pic: last pic as digi cam ran out of battery and memory, here the technical met a swift end and my friend was measuring up for his eventual assault on the village, where he later charged in got loads of IED's attached, but had time to dismount crew into a nearby building and flush it out with a bouns comand assault action, from here the brits turned things around and took the win in one round of infantry shooting.
interesting lesson was
1: wow the feds are great with ignoring supression they stay active and a steady threat.
2: troops in cover can survive alot of abuse.
3:warriors in cover are great but you need 2 of them to support each other.
4: british infantry rock when it comes to assaults (as would the USMC for the same reasons)
great game and good fun evan if i did loose !!!! grrrrrrrr
