Kzinti & Romulan Reinforcements - Shipping This Week!

A new fleet comes to A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, and Romulans get some much needed reinforcements!

Two box sets start shipping this week - the Kzinti Squadron and the Romulan Reinforcements set. The Kzinti Squadron contains everything you need to start fielding these cat-like aliens in A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, including a War Destroyer, Medium Cruiser, Light Cruiser, Heavy Battlecruiser, and a mighty Dreadnought!

The Romulan Reinforcements set includes a Firehawk, Sparrowhawk, King Eagle, a KF5R Destroyer, and a rather tasty KC9R Dreadnought.

Pre-ordered Kzinti blisters will also start shipping this week, and they will be followed after Gen Con by the Kzinti Fleet set.

The US versions of both boxes come up as being in stock.

Being a bit cynical but so far, the UK has run a couple of weeks ahead of the US/ROW and the first batches are produced in Ohio but generally the UK gamers have been getting their preorders a couple of weeks ahead of the US/ROW.

Similarly, appearing on the website as order ready has not had the seemingly logical corollary as implying that preorders have already shipped.

I have a Romulan Reinforcement box along with a Kzinti Fleet Box as my only non-Gorn orders for models still hanging but I'd be mildly surprised to see anything before 3-4 weeks.

And the Gorn a month behind the Furball's, he says hopefully.

(though the 2400 CA model is the same size as a destroyer, so could double for a BDD - picked up a Destroyer pack at Attack, though not the Dreadnought - feel i may have enough of those when i've picked up a squadron box, and can't bring myself to model such a fine ship as a wreck)

Kzinti will be the only race in the main rulebook I don't have a fleet for. When the Romulan Reinforcements comes I'll have over 2000 points of just Kestrel Romulans.

But when given the option of feeling dirty today, or virtuous in the future, it is a hard call

Now there is nothing wrong with having fleets of the other races, after all you need someone to beat up when staging demo games or when the kids are round and don't have ships of their own.

But still you should take pride in having "YOUR FLEET". That one fleet you put the extra work into, the one that just fits with the way you game (charge up and hit someone in the face with a massive ball of plasma :lol: ).

For some people its the flattops, the eat photons and die Federation. For some its the Klinks, the wait till I race round behind you and kill you with a thousand cuts from outside of your arc and range Klingons. A sad few even find themselves as Romulan players, boring wander round under cloaks types till they leap out and knife you in the back like worthless cowards.

Now I respect all of these people, well aside from the Romulans :wink: , because they have made a choice. Ok its not the Gorn but its still a choice.

But you furball players, do you like cats perhaps. Was there some terrible event in your childhood that set you on the path to playing with toy ships that resemble squashed road kill?
What is it that leads a gamer, someone who would otherwise be considered of above average imagination to play “The Furballs”. :roll:

Oh well, once the Lyran arrive we can lock all the furball players in a room and they can happily kill each other while the major races, Gorn, Fed, Klingon and I suppose the Hydrans and ISC, Oh and the other lot, cloaks/plasmas/knife people in the back, oh yes the Romulans play in the main rooms :wink:

Color me very pleasantly surprised!

I received an email the my Romulan Reinforcements#12 have shipped. Coupled with my last several blister orders, I'm convinced the production/shipping issues are a thing of the past.

Bring on the fur balls and the geckos.

I got my Romulan Reinforcements yesterday, but was only able to collect it today.

One query though, as the Firehawk in it is literally exactly the same as the Fasthawk I picked up at the Tournament once I put them next to each other, like literally exactly the same.

I think you have a problem with one of those. My Fasthawks have a more elongated prow than my Firehawks.
