Kustria Map Scale?

It seems to me that the Kustria Map Scale in the Glorantha book is a bit off. Unless it really is 20km wide? So should it be 2km wide or what? And how many people do you suppose live there?

It's a general comment about maps and Mongoose.

Ah, should have thought of that...

But anyway, how big do you think Kustria is? Population of 100k? Or even more?

It's probably best in the short run to guess a likely figure that suits your campaign. In the longer term check the relevant sources very carefully, and use any scraps of info that you can find to guide you to a more calculated figure.

I wouldn't put any faith on that map in any case. It's a "Mongoose Thing".
