Klingon Fleet tweaking...(1000pts) and a decision to be made

I mentioned how the frigate-heavy Klingons worked so well for me using this fleet....

D7Cx3
E4x5

I know the command option x3 seems accessive, but the D7C is such a good ship...however, the new point stat of the D5W caught my attention.

I changed the fleet to this...

D7C
D5Wx2
F5x2
E4x3
=1000pts

Big improvement I think. I'm really exited about this fleet and even though it is Klingon (too easy to dominate?) I'm thinking about starting to bit it out a ship at a time. Sweet, strategic, tactical...fluffy?

However....

I've BEEN drooling over the feds. I like Photons...my favorite weapon in the game. I like the "good" guy (but dominate you ruthlessly in trade/politics) Federation attitude....which has me thinking about this fleet....

DNF
CAx2
FFBx3

It's pretty much what I think a competetive Fed fleet should look like. Resiliance and firepower without sacrificing one or the other. I think this fleet works very well and is probably what I'm truly going to start out with.

Then again, there are the Gorn....

BCHx2
HDDx2
DDx2

BCH, with 40/14 is off the friggin hook with no price increase!!! Me likey! More hit points and no lumbering...no price increase...people are going to whine about that monster. In addition, like I always say, why bring one when you can bring two for twice the price??!! No command +1 but I think you can own your slowness by planning on it. Just accept it, you're going to lose initiative....

Just lose the initiative and get a superior initiative SINK by boiling the opposition! Gorn are my fleet from my High School days of playing SFB...so this fleet is a definate after they get released, which should be very soon I figure.

Tough choice....help me choose? Which fleet seems better/neater/tougher to start with?

I'm getting tired of playing ACTA:Star Fleet with Battlefleet Gothic models. Ghey.
