One question concerning the C8
In SFB is the boom of the C8 detachable!? Would like to do that with my model too using magnets to
keep them together

No, but as it's a resin mini, you should be able to cut the boom off cleanly if you're careful enough.

That would be an interesting option. I don't know what it's stats would be, but you probably figure them out for yourself.

One question though, since there is no provision for sublight evasion, why not just bring the rest of the ship along for the ride? Unless you're house-ruling something?

By the way, the early resin C8s were a 2 piece model, so perhaps you could ask if someone wants to switch your one piece C8 for a 2-piece C8 rather than hack up the one you have?

I have one of the early resin only C-8's if anyone wants to swap and have a detachable boom. Warning - it is flashy and the boom fit is terrible. I just haven't bothered cutting/routing it to fit yet as I have a newer version as well.

My Federation and Klingon squad boxes arrived crom ADB, finally (through no fault of their own, however). The C8 was resin and in 5 pieces. When I test-fit the boom initially I thought there was no fit at all but after some fiddling I realized that the two fit together -perfectly- and there was no filing needed. Some gentle pressure and that boom isn't coming out. Ever.
