Found out that that ConQuest LA has been cancelled for this year. That's the second major con in LA to bite it this year.

ConQuest LA was scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, the same weekend as Kublacon in San Fransisco. Since Conquest LA was the only other major gaming con that weekend, Kubla will likely pick up some of those people...

Hey Chern, I plan to show up. Bringing Vorlons again. They say play what you know, so here we go again.

I expect a thorough trashing from the other players because I expect to be horrifically outnumbered in each fight.

Yes, but last year the Vorlon ships were a different priority level, Chern.

For example, I had a Heavy Cruiser and 2 Light Cruisers last year. Can't do that this year because that would be the equivalent of 16 Raid FAP. If I had the models for it, I'd field a Vorlon force consisting almost entirely of Destroyers and Transports.

Anyway, I have names to paint on bases this weekend.

It turns out I will be here this weekend. My buddy in the army needs to be in sac on Sat for his plane trip (he might have to take a cab from the con, but we'll have to see.) I will be bringing my ISA (which is finally dry). Erin may or may not play. I still need to look at where the con is and whatnot, but count me in (ill submit my list tomorrow).

WickedE and I will be at the Con on Friday since we don't really like the idea of driving over to Rancho Cordova at the crack of dawn. We'll probably end up watching the Hordes/Warmachine games on Friday and attend the Midnight Flea Market.

I pulled Claude from this list, he mistakenly submitted his fleet list on the form for Conquest - He'll be quite happy to blow you out of the sky at Kublacon, however. And, I have Wicked's fleet, seems he's having connection problems and his form wouldn't submit, either.

I've just been informed that due to automotive failure, Lance and Daryl Park will not be attending Conquest; and I have yet to recieve fleet submissions from Chris Jones or Erin.

Chris Finnegan, Mike Murphy, and Justin are coming from Nevada to play the tournament, but have expressed that they'd rather not attend if they're the only players. and as it stands, they're the only "confirmed" players. I'll understand if anybody wants to call it off and not come, for this I apologise.

On the bright side, Kublacon is 6 weeks away and of course I'll be running KOTJ 4 there...if everyone would rather skip conquest and play in one bigger tourney at that time I'll understand. I've been thinking that the two cons being so close together is eating into the player base, some would rather just attend one due to expenses for travel and hotel.

If this happens, I can run Demos in place of the tourney. no biggie. The Con organizers may be a tad miffed, but they'll just have to deal with it.

I won't be at my email for the rest of the night, but I'll be PM'ing you my phone number to confirm.

Chris, Justin, and I are canceling KOJG3 and are moving forward to attend KOJG4 in late May.

This is probably a good thing as we are expecting snow in the Sierra Nevada Mountains this weekend (barely any snow all year until spring shows up, then we get two storms in a row--minor storms, but nuisances for driving anyway).

KOTJ3 is cancelled. I'm going to try to work with Avalon games (the ConQuest organizers) and run some ACTA demos saturday morning instead.
