Kickstarter - Element Class Cruisers Box Set - Now Live!

The Kickstarter for the Element Class Cruiser Ship Builder's Blueprints box set has just gone live!

This Kickstarter project is to create a brand new box set for the Traveller roleplaying game, detailing the three main classes of cruiser within the Element cruiser family, together with 10 massive double-sided blueprints that will allow you walk through each deck of the ships as if you were there...

As things stand, the box set contains the core book presenting the Element cruisers, and ten massive (28" x 40") double-sided blueprints - but we want to add a lot more to the box. To begin with, we want to include a handbook that helps referees run naval/bridge crew campaigns, using one of the Element class cruisers - or any other capital ship in the game.

This set has the potential to greatly increase in size and weight, just like the Great Rift set we did previously, with your help.

We thought long and hard about that, some sort of pledge level to 'fill in the gaps' so to speak. However, Pirates of Drinax is just a bit too new, too many backers will have already purchased it, and it is a bit, umm, premium to do that.

Too bad, but understandable. I got my hands on the Drinax PDFs very cheap through the driverhrurpg sale, but of course I’m gonna need to get the physical books too, some day...

First post on here, though I've been up to some Olympic grade lurking

I've made my contribution to the kickstarter and have. A quick question: during the process I was not asked to submit my address. How will the hard back materials/books, that are already in print get to me? Or will there be a follow up after the klick starter project closes in 23 days time?

Brilliant project, really looking forward to it!

Well, I’ve only taken part in one Kickstarter campaign before myself, and that was the Great Rift campaign.

How it worked that time was that when the campaign was over, a survey was sent out to everyone, where we were asked to give our addresses and such - and I assume it’ll work the same this time

The Element Cruiser box set for Traveller has received a major boost this week, with the reaching of the Naval Campaigns stretch goal.

This means that the box set details far more than the three classes of the Element Cruiser family, complete with blueprints - the set will now bring a completely new way of playing Traveller to your table, with players taking the part of bridge crew on board a major warship (any of the large warships in High Guard can be used, not just the Element cruisers).

We are now chasing down the next stretch goal, which will be a complete standalone adventure designed specifically for bridge crew campaigns, allowing you to jump right into the big ships!
