The Old Soldier
Mongoose
This subject is something Evocommand members have been talking about and doing for sometime now. Going to a local thrift store, like the Dollar General, the Family Dollar, Walmarts ect, and finding little gems that can work with BFE.
Look at the little plastic bags of toysoldier hanging on the wall. You will be suprised at what you may find. Since the MEA in my opinion would use anything and everything available to them, and obsolete vehicles abound in the Middle East and other poorer nations, it is not a stretch that post WW2 vehicles can be used the BFE world.
For 99 cents I have found Centurion tanks plus a jeep like vehicle that looks like a landie that are scaled for this game, I have also found for couple of dollars perfectly scaled ferret armored cars, two in a pack with two jeeps in scale. These pack also include those 2inch toy soldier, which I give to my brothers children. (Both of my brothers are between 12 and 18 years younger than me!)
Just use the web to check how big the vehicles are, then put them in scale on paper. Take a walk in your local 5 and dime, and keep a tape measure handy to check for scale. You will be surprise on the goodies you may find.
Good hunting.
