Just preordered, two questions about it

Hi! Just got preordered the red clearance edition as a birthday present from my incredibly confused family.

I was wondering two things, both have been sort of answered elsewhere but I was hoping for clarification:
Is there a confirmed date for when the red clearance edition starts shipping?
And I saw in another thread that people could email msprange to sort out pdfs if they ordered the physical copy, is this still the case? I hate to presume.
