Just out of interest ...

anyone messed around with unit activation, as in one player chooses one unit then the other player chooses one etc ... works fine as is but was wondering as I know this works well in a number of rules and seems like it might with WAW esp because of the reaction system.

Also in the add on it suggests vehicles down to one hit left lose an action I believe (haven't got it in front of me) ... could using a damaging hit causes suppression work (crew stunned etc) ?

My initial "Author's Cut" had rules for alternate unit activation included. Under the Logo License these modifications are no more possible, there fore I had not included them in any of the A.D.Publishing books.

IMO: Alternate unit activation works very well in smaller games (up to 1000 pts), as soon as the games get bigger it can become confusing (who had already acted, who reacted etc).

@ Add On: The Add On includes the following change:
"If a model with 2 or more Hits is reduced to just 1, it will become Crippled, and may only take one action every turn, and may never make a Reaction."
This has NOTHING to do with suppression of vehicles. I am NOT encouraging any rule changes that can suppress vehicles.

Ok thanks ... will just stick with the crippled bit :-)

We have been playing smaller games in a lot of terrain (probably around 1000-1200 points) and sometimes (not often) a whole turns worth of actions tends to be very strong so we had a feeling it may be eased. But as you say keeping track of it with a lot more units on the table would add some sort of unwelcome book-keeping or tokens/markers.

Thanks again for the speedy replies - now all we need is some organised UK events and I will be a happy bunny :-)
