Since this is an ISA thread, I figured I'd post this here instead of starting a new thread:
I am finally playing a game using SAs with my wife and I have to say that I am SHOCKED at how survivable the White Stars are when they use CBD.
I landed 15 (15!!) hits on a White Star Gunship with my Omega's main beam and managed to plink it for 1 damage and 1 crew as a result...
Embarassing.
On the other hand, I was obviously correct about the weakness of the WSs. Throw enough dice at them and they die. They don't even have to be TD or DD. Just throw a bunch of shots and it's over. With a little help from 4 flights of TBolts, the Port Arc of the Omega and a previous turn hit with the main beam on the Omega, 2 Chronos were able to kill a WS...
Now I just have to replicate that on 2 more WSs and a Gunship before those blessed TD Beams kill off everything I've got...[/b]

a raid point worth of skirmish ships
the side guns from a battle ship...call it a skirmish point
and we're looking at a bit over 2 raid to kill one raid.... what's so surprising here?

Well, not so surprising, really...
With Dodge 4+ and CBD, she negated better than 75% of all shots I threw at her. Those that hit, I mean. I missed with most of my shots...
Finished up last night, killed the Nolo'Tar with pretty much a single round of fire from my Omega's main beam. Killed the Liandra the same way but with my Hyperion, Killed the Gunship the next turn with a single hit from a single flight of TBolts (got really lucky on a crit). and we didn't finish rolling the attacks that turn because I still had 1 Chronos, 2 main beams from both my Hyp and Omega and 2 Hermes to fire on his last WS...
She made a major mistake and got into furball range with EA. Though she still knocked out 3 ships, 1 Chronos and 2 Hermes and almost killed the other 2 Hermes, the other Chronos and the Hyperion in a single round of firing with Concentrate All Firepower. Nasty stuff, that.
