Is there a new priority list?

I tried a few games a year ago and then because of lack of minis and an opponent lost intrest. So I've been out of the game for a year now, but recently decided to throw in and buy some minatures and get back in.

As I was setting up for my first game in a year I noticed something very odd... aircraft carriers are sometimes bargin of 2:1 points when you consider the aircraft they are carrying.

So I tried a search on the forums and didnt find anything and then looked aound at the errta which seems very out of date and came to the conclusion I either have missed something entirely or I'm crazy.

Specificly I started looking at the US and IJN aircraft carriers and it ocured that a Sangamon Carrier was a single skirmish point but carried 2 skirmish points worth of planes?
The Wasp was a raid level ship, which if you turned it into skirmish would be 2 Skirmish points... but carried 2 Patrol + 2 Skirmish points worth of planes? an then there is the Ranger, 4.5 Patrol points + 1 Skirmish point of planes? If I was to take a single Raid point the best I could get in Wilcats should be 6 flights not 9!!

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this or if there is a more current Fleet List for all the nationallities since OOB book came out?

I've noticed that you have mentioned a few times in differnt posts that you and your group use differnt priority levels than are in the OOB.

I looked at your website and didnt see anything like that. Any chance you might share what your group's PL list looks like?

Thats right, a combination of the two. I also play a lot of campaign games, so the forces for a particular battle will be determined from the moves that players make on the campaign map.

Yes, its the one in OOB :)

I've also put several campaign packs for use with General Quarters on my website which should be adaptable for other rules sucjh as VAS.

Here's a book I draw on to play games with, both one-shot and campaign. The book is primarily written focused on destroyer engagements in both theaters of the war, but it is heavy surface combat with all surface ship classes and includes ASW engagements and convoy escorts as well. It has the historical Order of Battle for the combatants on each side for the engagements covered. A wonderful, comprehensive reference book to use to play VaS with !
