Introduction to Traveller

Finarvyn

Mongoose
I saw on a website a list of products given out for "free RPG day" and one of them was an "Introduction to Traveller" booklet from Mongoose.

Will a PDF version of this be in the downloads section someday for those of us who won't make it to "free RPG day"?

I have the main rulebook already but was hoping to have something I could hand out to my players who have never played the game before.

Yes, let me second that.

This would indeed be very handy for this...
At the previous Free RPG Day, Intro/Quick Start rules were released and the companies eventually put them out as PDF's... great for roping in the newbs

4th'ed :P

From here, "While Book 0 may reappear down the road, this will be the only day it is available in this particular format."

Offhand it'll either be a free PDF ala the Castles & Crusades or Tunnels & Trolls quickstart rules and/or offered in print at nominal cost.

Hopefully it'll be as good as or better than the original CT Book 0. Either way, it'll be free, even if that turns out only for a day.

Good lord another actual Vancouverite !

Stop by the VGG and even a Wayward Con... I'm lookin' to run some MTraveller... :)

I'll do that... I'll be running a MGT (with CT, MT elements) this fall via ScreenMonkey 1.5 prob on wednesday nights 1830hrs to about 2130 local pacific time.... With a fair amount of MJD adventures of all things (smile)

Take care (and I'll be hitting the 3878 Main street store tomorrow...)

Greetings

I picked up a copy of Book 0 this morning from our local game shop (as well as a variety of other things).

Looks good although I haven't settled down to read it yet. 32 pages with a blank character sheet at the back. Sections are character creation (Navy and Army careers) skills, combat, and equipment.

Regards

I did as well, except that my local gaming store only lets you have one item per customer. (Lucky for me, I anticipated this and brought my sister along as well. )

It looks good so far in a quick skim. I almost picked up another game but the Traveller karma just pulled me in....

And the Traveller Book 0 looks very nicely done in the "classic, clean lines" of the LBB (little black book).

The Vancouver BC store at 3878 Main Street still has some copies left (about 8 left) as well as other various offerings from other companies. (they also have some of the Core book books as well that I saw.

Its just 1230 PM here so theres about 4 and a half hours to go if you want one...

Take care all

Bosco's still has a bunch. I'm certain that they ould ship you one for just shipping costs alone... heck, probably 3...

I picked up Bk 0, the T&T intro, and the Starsiege intro.

MoTrav and T&T both have full character generation.

(T&T always does. I picked it up for the new adventure every year.)
